Here's an MOT checklist, it'll give you an idea of what's looked at.

Is the bike a UK RS? A lot are imported which means that your headlight will be firing its kick the wrong way.
Put the bike up against a wall and shine the headlights at it on dipped beam - look for the headlight kick (the bit that goes higher than the rest of it - you will see what i mean).
If it kicks to the left, you can relax. If it kicks to the right, then you have at least an import headlight and you either will need to replace it for MOT or at least tape over it so as to block the kick. ____________________ CBT Aug '03 ... Gilera GSM 50 ... Honda NSR 125 Aug '04 ...

To set the headlight height, simply shine your headlight on dip-beam onto a wall from about 10 feet away (on level ground). Now roll the bike towards the wall - the spot of light should move upwards very slightly as you roll the bike forwards. If it moves down you need to adjust the beam downwards. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
