Will try that, its a vfr750fg 1986
I was going to try using the compressor later but not sure if that will work. And considered heating some oil in the caliper but got nothing to hold it when the piston fires out and kills someone ____________________ Current - 2007 Suzuki Bandit GSF1250 - 1999 Suzuki TL1000R

hi,
you have my sympathies.
im restoring an 1986 fg (though its the californian 700 model) & could not get the pistons out whatsoever- tried wd40,plusgas,airline, clamping one piston etc. wouldnt budge. (rear caliper though)
they had seized on, & when i removed the caliper i spent days trying to get the pistons out, but gave up & i'm just gonna get a replacement caliper! (after i priced new pistons & seals!)
as mine is the same as yours (except engine size obviously, if your needing manuals or any spares, give me a shout-likewise, if you have any spares etc)
just replaced rear shocker & started on front suspension. (still has funtioning ant-dive!)
next step, powdercoat wheels & engine casings (the usa bike has white wheels & gold engine casings)
then rip off the pair/evap system!
cheers,
GAZ

Have you got braided hoses or normal?
If not braided, apparently you could try undoing the bleed nipple and then (making sure the reservoir is full of fluid) squeeze the brake pipe gently with a pair of pliers about 2 inches from the master cylinder and pump the brake to see if you get any pressure.
If you have pressure pump the brakes and ease off with the pliers, then move further down the brake line and repeat, you may need to do it a couple of times.
I am being told that this will restore full pressure to your whole braking system so if you then close the bleed nipple and pump the brakes it should start to push your pistons out. ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

However using compressed air while pointing the caliper at a wooden bench to see how far you can get the piston to sink into the plywood is much more fun after all the hard work of trying to free it ____________________ Current - 2007 Suzuki Bandit GSF1250 - 1999 Suzuki TL1000R
