In this cold and wet weather gloves are always a bonus, however to make best use of them do you wear them over your jacket sleeves or inside your jacket sleeves?
I normally wear mine over the top of my sleeves as my winter gloves have pull strings to tighten them around my wrists and I reckon this way stops cold wind getting up your arms! However in the recent downpour I found my hands getting soaked with all the water running down my sleeves into my gloves, so perhaps I should be wearing my sleeves over my gloves and just fastening the velcro on the sleeves as tight as possible instead?? ____________________ Previous: Aprilia Habana Retro 50cc (beauty), Yamaha SR125 (fell apart), Honda XR125 (nippy little commuter), Honda SLR650 (Geewhizz), Yamaha Diversion 900S (Smoooooth) written off courtesy of a stupid escaped horse.

I've always used glove over cuffs as it keeps the wind out as it flows over the wrists and onto my covered arm instead of up my sleeve...
Also as a bonus when it rains I mean really rains you can wipe your visor without water running up your arm. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. Where's my both option? I have my gloves over the cuffs of my leathers and then put a waterproof hi-viz jacket over the top.
voting for gloves over as that's what I do when it's not so bloody dark & cold - roll on summer! ____________________ current: ducati monster 750

Sleeves over gloves as I'll take cold over wet any day, because wet will also mean cold eventually. ____________________ My claim to fame: Austin Vince nicked my pen... |

Both. My gloves have a double cuff. Put them on, fasten jacket over inner cuff then velcro outer cuff over the jacket.
Typically, they don't make them any more but they are really effective. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Ok Koord gloves arrived today and 1st impression they look OK.
Ordered large......
Now i have not got big hands and these are pretty tight. Had i bought from a shop i poss would not have picked this size.
So if you do get any of these be aware of their sizing being a bit on the small size.
Now need to get out and ride in them to see how they fair in the cool. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

With my old jacket, I used to go gloves over cuffs.
With my new jacket, the cuffs are too chunky to go under my gloves so it's cuffs over gloves. It's a pretty good fit though (cuffs are zipped and velcroed) so I've never noticed any wind/cold getting up in there. ____________________ Peugeot Speedfight 2 - Honda VFR400 - Honda CB500 |

Same as Stinkwheel. The inner Gore-tex layer goes into the sleeve and the outer textile-material goes on the outside. I find these gloves much more effective at keeping the cold out than a newer pair I bought and am still using the older pair because of this.
Also the riding position of my bike probably helps, with my elbows being lower than my shoulders. In fact, thinking about it, all the bikes I've ridden have been like this, just my bike is even more so. I've never encountered rain running down my sleeves and into my gloves, even wearing summer gloves over cuffs in the worst of downpours. Riding in cool weather I have had draughts come into my summer gloves, though. ____________________ H100 Breaking for spares |

Depends on the gear.
Leathers, gloves go over the top as they usually wont fit under.
Over or under textiles depending on the style of jacket.
Boots always go under jeans (unless you're a pikey) and go over leathers. ____________________ ◙◙► K6 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 1000 ◄◙◙◙◙► K5 GSXR 600 ◄◙◙◙◙► 96 RF600r ◄◙◙

Have had endless debates with a work colleague over this.
I think under the jacket looks cool, where as he hates the idea and puts them over the jacket.
I put them under all the time |
