Hi
One for every day of the year might be getting to the point of being excessive.
Currently between myself and Charlotte we have 24 bikes that are either on the road or likely to be again at some point. The actual number on the road varies (at the moment I think it is 4, but 1 more only needs tax and could get another half a dozen on the road with little more than batteries and MOTs). Also a few more floating around for spares.
For those who say you can only ride one at a time, just ask how many CDs they have. After all they can only listen to one at a time.
All the best

At one point I had 5 bikes between me and the ex - GPZ750R/1000RX, AJS 350, CB250RS, CB400/4, GS500E. Having the GPZ for an everyday bike and the AJS for bimbling and rallies seemed like a good balance, with the 250 as a backup and the CB400/4 as a project.
It's a bit hard justifying more than one when you're out of work
[edit] Just remembered, it was 6 - there was a CM200 rat in pieces tucked away in the corner of the garage ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.
Currently : Royal Enfield 350 Meteor
Previously : CB100N > CB250RS > XJ900F > GT550 > GPZ750R/1000RX > AJS M16 > R100RT > Bullet 500 > CB500 > LS650P > Bullet Electra X & YBR125 > Bullet 350 "Superstar" & YBR125 Custom > Royal Enfield Classic 500 Despatch Limited Edition (28 of 200) & CB Two-Fifty Nighthawk > ER5

We have downgradede the number of bikes owned between us quite a bit in the last year or so.
I currently have 2, both roadworthy & road legal, one is new, shiny and special (VS800) the other is my everyday hack (550 Zephyr).
The OH also has 2 currently on the road & legal for the same reasons (Vmax & XJ600).
He also has 2 more that just need tax and/or MOT to make them rideable (XS650 & 900 Daytona).
He's now down to just 2 projects in the shed (XS650 and some little 125 suzuki thing that has never been registered for road use) but still has a lot of other bits cluttering the place up, probably enough fo at least another 2-3 bikes in total lol! ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

I swapped my utilitarian go everywhere bike option, for a 1.8 MG ZS
I have a zx6r for the track.
And I have a Speed Four for the road.
1x Comfy, fairly fast (ha) Car + 2 x 600's FTW
Oh, and we have *counts* 7 bikes in the garage, with another one to join soon (little brother is joining the road biking fraternity, bless him.
