yes an honours degree is worth more than an ordinary degree. An ordinary degree is about the same if not slightly worse than a 3rd.

Must be a great feeling!! I too have finished three years but have another to do when off placement so still have some uni left Laughing (which I reckon in 12 months Ill be happier about when my overdraft is hopefully not maxxed out!)

Confused I know, I am doing a 4 year honours degree though. Just finished 3rd year, so Jon B Ba (hons) History 2:1 from now on has done the same time at uni as myself, but already has honours. My brother did business and got a Masters after 4 years. Seems that sciences and engineering are the only long degrees.

muzza, the scottish system is different as you can go with highers rather than advanced highers (a2 for you southern folk). so scots degrees are 4 years rather than 3
