Cut out, now won't start

On my way to work today, had done about 4 miles engine fully warmed up. Started to slow down for traffic lights, felt like it lost all power like running on 2/3 cylinders. Stopped at the lights and it just cut straight out. Pushed to the side of the road. Turns overs strongly, fuel in the tank and it [drunk] out of the fuel pipe when I disconected the tank. Checked the middle 2 plugs and they have a spark.
Still won't start.
Also have had a problem from cold with a misfire. Which is down to how much you open the throttle open it slow and steady its fine, whack it open, it misfires. But once the engine is fully warmed up it goes and causes no problems.
Dont suppose its linked in anyway, no idea what causes it, just learned to ride around it.
Any ideas? 99 R6 btw.

Fist thing to do is to test the other 2 cylinders for sparks.

How rapidly does it turn over? If it is with excessive ease, then you might have burnt the valves out ...

Checked them now, sparks fine.
Turns over normally doesn't seem faster than usual anyway.

Yep, just sprayed petrol down the carbs where it joins the airbox, and it started, breifly. Rang a mate and he think its blocked jets.

Were you running on reserve for the first time in a while?

Doesn't have a reserve just a fuel light.
Sorted now fuel pump was nackered, one off my kawasaki zx4 fits though so will do for a temporary fix until I can order a new one.
