Taking of Generator Cover NSR 125

Hey guys,
Engine now off and taking it all apart to scavenge some bits for my bottom end.

I've taken all the bolts holding the generator cover out (at least the ones visible looking AT the cover.
Its obviously decided to be stubborn, are there any less obvious fasteners that i might have missed?

If not i guess its time for a bit of the old Ultra Violent!

Went for bit of controlled brutality.

Sometimes the gasket can stick solid making it feel like there's bolts holding it on. A few wacks with a rubber hammer normally does it.

Ok apart from a seized solid bolt whilst dropping the engine, in the end i had to drop the kickstand assembly out as well, even out the bike i couldn't remove the bolt so i got another bracket from the breakers.

Currently swapping bits across, also gonna clean up bike before the engine goes in.

I had the same problem removing the engine. I used a massive spanner and broke the mount off the frame. I still have one in the garage. You could have had it if you wanted.

Did you tighten everything up? Those silly nuts that need a special socket are a ball ache. Also, did you check the balancer shaft for alignment? I think i timed it properly but i can't be sure.

All ive done so far is swap over the starter motor, haven't checked the balancer for alignment, didn't know you had to! Or how!

Back to the workshop manual!

Can't do the clutch etc till i've swapped my oilpump.
