 |
|
Is there anyway to tell if a spark plug is failing/getting old,dirty etc other than taking it out and checking What I'm looking for is a doo-daa that can attach to the plugs whilst they are still in the engine... and indicate if they are working or not (*)
</lazyBarstard>
Also, does anyone know what those security net things are called. They enclose say you lid and can be locked...
(*) I want to know when any of the 4 spark plugs on the Vmax are past there best... ____________________ **** Don't ride faster than your angel can fly Get this Free Space

They dont test the spark plug, only the coil/ht leads.
Cheers

wrap a piece or wire around the ht lead about ten times or so, then run into a small bulb or neon may work, then out of the bulb to the neutral.
when your coil pack fires 40,000 volts down the lead you get a magnetic field that induces a current through the wire wrapped around it. that will light up the bulb.
if the bulb doesnt light up, either theres no spark, no voltage, or the contraption you just made dont work |
