Between 15 and 20 miles to a tank on the Teezer.
But its only got a 3L tank, And due to the engine conversion, I can only use 2 of those 3 liters because the gravity fed carb sits higher than the fuel tap.
So I get 20 miles, to 2 liters of petrol. Thats 40 to the gallon. About right really.

CB500. 18l tank, so 3.96 gallons * 62mpg = 245 miles, theoretically. I guess that's if I fill the bike to the brim whilst it's on the centre stand. Realistically, reserve kicks in at 196 miles, where I've got another 2.5l, or just over half a gallon left. This puts the range more like 230 miles. I usually start looking for a garage when I've switched to reserve, so have never tested this theory ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. On the 125, I get about 200-ish miles. I tend to fill it up every time I hit the 300km mark (it's chinese, and I can't be arsed to fit a speedohealer), and that's a little bit before I hit reserve.
On the Bandit, I had to refill every 100 miles or so, to avoid hitting the reserve. That was mixed riding, but predominantly short journeys, because I'm fat and lazy.
I'm looking forward to the new SV, though - I'm expecting somewhere around 130 on it, and with the advent of summer, I'm planning on getting some seriously long rides in...
Mmmmm... V-twin fun. ____________________ '10 SV650SF, '83 GS650GT (it lives!), Questionable DIY dash project, 3D Printer project, Lasercutter project |
