 |
|
Passed my CBT the other week, and collecting my bike today [YBR125]. With my tiny amount of biking experience i have noticed that when i open the throttle up my wrist starts to ache because of the angle it rests at. The only way i can see around this is to position my hand so my wrist is bent and pointing upwards when the throttle isn't open, but this makes slow riding uncomfortable
So, any ideas as to how i can get round this?
THANKS! |

Perhaps "manning the fuck up" might do the trick? ____________________ Pitslayer wrote "it could be Ndubz.....ruining this once great place with donkey gobbling loafer knobbing "music".

Few tips;
Stretch your muscles. Stretch your fingers and wrists. Clench and unclench your hands. Do it often, especially before riding your bike.
Relax your hands when riding and hold the grips as loosely as you can. Many riders tense up and squeeze much harder than necessary.
Try not to lean against your handlebars. The pressure adds extra tension in your hands and wrists. Tension creates soreness.
Cruise control system is the way to go if your serious, and worth every penny for the pain relief it can provide. ____________________ Previous: Gilera RCR50 2s banger ><

You can ajdust your hand grip when you are up to speed, but basically because the bike is wee you will need to use most of the throttle positions whilst getting up to speed. On a larger bike you wont need to unless you are pinning it, I frequently need to regrip when putting some beans in.
You will get used to it, but it is basically a matter of finding somewhere in the middle where you are comfortable most of the time . |

Cant you hold the throttle open with just the palm of your hand? This is what i do when on motorways or whatever. rest the fingers on the brake lever as opposed to death grip the throttle.
Only noticed it when I fitted heated grips, in fact this time for this reason I am not intending on fitting heated grips. ____________________ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
