How to maintain it?
see the bit called 'the workshop'?, post in there, plenty help available. don't post anything about de-restriction. you'll get the piss taken out of you.
How many miles before it needs an engine rebuild?
around 15k-20k miles i'd say, just to be safe. will most likely do a hell of a lot more than that. Big difference paying £30 for a piston& rings and £120 for a rebore though
How many miles can it do on a full tank?
about 80-90 miles - 6.8L tank, 70mpg
That sort of stuff. Also if anyone knows any information about the Suzuki AY 50 that would be a great help too.

i've never owned a 50cc 2t, don't quote me on anything... just what i'm assuming from the fact that they're all the same.

I had a liquid cooled Suzuki Katana (AY50 WR) for a number of years, bought it new in 2000. Used it to commute to work and never had an ounce of bother. The liquid cooled ones are much better.
Fitted a Malossi 70 kit, uprated Delorto carb, Malossi gear up kit, Leo Vinci ZX exhaust, variator kit and springs and then had it set up by Taffspeed in Newport on the Dyno. To be fair it then went like a 100m sprinter on steroids. Went off the clock downhill and would cruise at 50 - 60 real speed without issue. Luckily they have decent rubber for a scoot and the brakes.......well i stopped.
It's different to the usual peds out there and cheaper although doing any of the above will have licence implications for you and will be illegal. I had my full licence and just fancied seeing what i could create ____________________ Current ride - Yamaha MT-07 |

Im 16 and riding a 2 stroke MBK nitro (Yamaha Aerox). As said before, just keep it topped up with good quality 2-stroke oil (Castrol etc) and everything should look after itself (unless it overheats, or you buy a shed) id recommend liquid cooled as well...just to make sure it doesn't over-heat.
mines an 03 plate on 4000 miles, about 700 of those are mine, so id hope it doesn't need a re-build during the time i have it.
mine does about 100 miles on a 8 litre tank (costs roughly £7 to fill it up fully), although full throttle for sustained periods destroy the efficiency ____________________ MBK Nitro 50, Sold. Kawasaki ER-5, Honda ST1100
