Hi

When riding the bike at full Throttle, be flat out or accelrating from stand still, if Throttle is fully open the bike shudders and feels like its about to cut out, and lose power, but if i leave it at half Throttle everthing is fine regardless of down hill, up hill low speed or high speed, it appears the bike is having problems with the Throttle been full open.

Any ideas ?

I have just checked with the met office, but I still don't understand what "full throtal weather" is, is it worse than snow and ice?

Check you air filter is fully connected with no extra way for air to get in other than standard, If that is ok check your exhaust is fully connected with no gas escaping before the end can

See that wee button under the box you typed in?

Yeah, that one! that one that says 'spell check'.

Will save you looking like a knob.

As already said, sounds like it's running rich/lean.

Give that carb some lovin'

Not clean it out.

More check the mixture is right, make sure it's not too lean/rich.

Well if it's a CG, that's simple.

Had exactly the same when i bought mine, was due to it running too rich, and flooding it/wetting the plug rather than firing.

There's a wee screw under the carb you can get to if you use a small screwdriver.

Use that to change the fuel/air mix, and get it running properly.

Bike i own is in my Signature.

check the mixture is right....well i am not quite sure how to do it on a Piaggio engine.

The bike has a auto-choke, its at 2,000rpm then atter 30 secs the auto choke comes off and drops to 1,400rpm and then i get on a ride off.

So its fully warmed up, i was at snakes pass yesterday and it tempoary stoped shuddering and once off the snakes pass ( -10 ) and on to the dule carriagway it did 75mph with out struggling.

Spark plug gap checked and is fine and is in good condtion, not white not black but a nice dry light brown.

checked the belt, that looks heathy, and the oil is a nice clear with brown tint but feels weak, but dont see how that could effect top speed and shuddering.

As for Acemastr, Middle Finger

The shuddering is to stop you falling asleep on it. Again.

Could it be fuel starvation ? Maybe the breather in the fuel filler is blocked with ice. Try opening the filler cap to see if the problem goes away.

fuel starvation is one feeling i would say it is. But the fule pump looks good.

the breather is under the Tank hidden away, its nice to ride but a shit of a heap to work on, as everything is enclosed.

after reading comments i would conclude ither its :

Rollers have Flat spots
fuel starvation
running too rich
mixture is not right

Got an impact wench mite check rollers.

Carb icing usually causes problems when you stop after a long time with the throttle open, and the bike won't idle. So it doesn't sound like it'd be that anyway.
