Sold my supra...to get a CB400SF/99 R1

Sold the supra today! (upset but yay)
Looking for a bike to have fun with...I like the economy/sound/ride of the CB400SF, but also looking at the 99 r1/blade as I've been using a 1k bike recently.. Enough power for me!

So stuck.. Can't have both!

Any major cons on those bikes?

The reason I said 400SF is because I can afford that plus a car.
The R1/Blade would be too expensive to buy both.

I have a short commute ~15 miles each way. GSXR was great for that!
Brother has a SF and I love going on the back...just feels really nice.

Love my Superfour. Had it almost a year and will be keeping it for good while I think.

Pay hardly any for insurance and has a tank range of 170miles. Enough power to be fun but not enough to get you into trouble.

Cant recommend one enough!

i can get it down below 100 if i try. Im currently running a stubby can though which sounds about the same as no exhaust at all

carb has been stripped and cleaned recently and all looked ok, i think its ready for a balance though as the idle can be irratic at times.

Mighnt see if i can find a standard exhaust and see if that helps

Another vote for the Superfour here, I've got a fairly similar pair of bikes and truth told, the ZX9 gets so little use over the XJR that I've toyed with sticking it up for sale on more than one occasion. The only thing the 400 fails at is trying to keep up with fast mates on a rideout, it's glacially slow when it comes to the traffic light GP

I had a 400sf. fuck me I was bored during the two months I had it, great on petrol though, but pretty dog slow.

My RS125 from years ago felt faster... but again, great on petrol
