Checked the usual noddy stuff? It's not in gear, the battery earth is OK, you haven't blown a fuse? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

With your multimeter. You should check for voltage between each post and earth rather than between the two posts. There should be 12v at one and nothing at the other.
Try shorting between the two terminal posts on the solenoid with an old screwdriver (you ought to get sparks and suchlike so don't panic if you see them). The starter motor should turn when you do so.
If it does, there is a fair chance the solenoid is duff. I've had two of those ones go over the years.
If it doesn't there is a problem with the starter motor or its connectors (assuming the battery is ok).
Also check inside the block connector on the solenoid (which holds the main fuse) for signs of corrosion. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
