so today i bled the brake and now it does do anything

all my cables and wires are there and fine no holes or anything the brake fluid botels bracket is snapped but the bottel is fine and is full!

anyone got any ideas why my brake isn't working ?

Perhaps the brake resevoir is knackerd or blocked. If the system is bled and has the correct amount of fluid then there must be nothing getting to the caliper. When you bled the brakes did the fluid squirt out or just weep out of the top of the bleeder bolt?

did fluid squirt out or trickle

correct bleeding kit will cost a fiver from any motorist shop and consists of a piece of rubber tube leadin into a bottle
1. attach tool to bleed nipple
2. fill res to max
3. open niplle an squease brake lever fully in slowly several times
4. keep eye on res level and watch air bubble in tube
5. whe air stops squezze and hold brake lever and close nipple

now you should have a good brake Thumbs Up

Hi

Do as above, but what you have already done will have let loads of air into the system and it will probably take quite a while to get them bled through again.

All the best

I just had to bleed the brakes on my NSR and it took ages to get the air out ( i did swap hoses though). I used a one man bleeding kit with a one way valve on it. i've used this in the past on all sorts of vehicles and its pretty fool proof to operate, to echo everyone else, just remember to keep the reservoir topped up or you will undo all the work in a second. Hope this helps Thumbs Up
