Everything was going great, until I had to reconnect the electrics. I found that the wiring diagram I have is different to what's there; mainly the wiring for the coil/cdi.
Also, the lights will only work and starter motor turn the correct direction when you connect the battery positive to negative and vice versa. all the earth cables ect are in the correct places.

Mentioning the actual problem helps, by the way:
I have a 3 pin rectifier and the diagram I have is for a 5 pin |
Right. I had a look through the wiring diagrams thread, and managed to burn half an hour looking for wiring diagrams for this bike that include a 3-pin rectifier. I found this manual, which seems to cover a few bikes. Page 58 has got the closest to a coherent diagram depicting a 3-pin one that I could find. Hope it's of some help, because this has eaten a surprising amount of time ____________________ '10 SV650SF, '83 GS650GT (it lives!), Questionable DIY dash project, 3D Printer project, Lasercutter project |

I have some wiring diagrams for the GPR. Haven't got access to a scanner but I can take photos if you want, although they will probably be shit ____________________ Rusty '02 Vito Camper + CBR600F3 |
