For whatever reason (had one a yoof, had a picture of one, have one now but can't get parts, etc.), what bikes do you wish they still made now?

At the mo, I'm wishing Honda still made the CD250U. Just coz. Particularly liking this variant :-

OK for me, I think it has to be the Yamaha RD500. Not because you can't get parts, because you can, and also not because it makes more sense than a 4 stroke.....because it doesn't.
It is because I fell in love with the one my boyfriend has, and it would be nice for them still to be around.

Two strokes in general. Loved all the early eighties to early nineties 2T bikes. I have only owned one four stroke, a GSXR1100 but it just didn't do it for me. Had a pepsi RG500, utterly insane bike and now own a TZR250.

So, I guess for me the RG500 is the ultimate but the TZR250s hold a special place for me as well so those two would do nicely.

zxr750 with the Hoover pipes. It handled like a barge, killed you if you opened it up at the wrong moment, was excruciatingly painful to ride, had mirrors which were frankly pointless (all I could see were my shoulders) and carrying a pillion gave it the cornering abilities of a blamange.

God I loved that bike.

FZR400 (blown engine), ZXR750 (blown engine), ZX6R (accident), CBR600 which had engine issues after which I learned to change gear..., CBR900, CBR924 (stolen), CB600, CB1300 (everything blew up), BMW K1300GT (written off, hit from rear while stationary), Bandit 1250 for a couple of months, Triumph Sprint ST 1050 (nicked) and somewhere in there, I wrote off a Ducati 748 at Cadwell.

Aprilia RS250, VFR/RVF400, ZXR400, CBR400 - obviously not as they were in the past, but all updated, lighter and with newest bits.

I think the market lacks small sporty bikes.. Now it's 125 --> 600 -->750 -->1000+. I know it's all about costs and to make 400 would cost as much as making 600, so companies see no profit prospects here. But still.. I would love to buy a 55-65bhp bike that weighs 120-130kg and looks cool and handles like a dream.

For me, the Yamaha GTS.
Not the prettiest thing, but boy was it an effective motorcycle.
I once rode mine 1000 miles from Calais to the South of France in one day loaded with luggage and Mrs on the back, and we were as fresh as the moment we left.
I've owned all sorts of tourers, and this was the best by a country mile.
I did 90,000 miles on that bike in 5 years, by which time it was worth naff all but I had a lot of fun.

Mmm. CD250U is my favorite bike. It looks better than Rebel.
I sometimes see CD250U with huge rear box used at cleaning shop.
It is really an iron horse and used correctly for what it should be.
I like the engine sound when it starts to move.
I believed Honda will make "boss cub" as a successor of it, but not yet.

it would have to be the Suzuki GT750 (kettle) what a gorgeous bike and love the sound of the engine.
Honda's little CB400 four from the 80's was a lovely bike too, and I guess last but not least the Honda C90. I had one of those years ago and I loved it.
