Other way round; if you have an electro-mechanical flasher, then it's pulse timing is 'tuned' depending on the load on the circuit.
Higher wattage; slower flash (Bulb blow blinky-kators, blink fash fast)
So; do you have an electro-mech flasher timed for low watt LED's? Or do you have ballast resistors loading up an electro-mech timed for Tungstens?... ie near double normal wattage!
In which case also check fuses & check you haven't burned out the flasher!
Indies are normally 21W ish, plus the tell tale, maybe 5w, so about 50W on each circuit, perhaps 90W if you have hazards on same flasher. Drawing about 4-5A if indy only, 7.5w if hazards
