changed back from led indis to standard ones as i could never get the leds to work (i say standard but there not the original ones they got lost in a encounter with the road) but now they dont flash they just stay on

anyone got any ideas what to check ? im retarded at electronics even though i have an a level in it lol , positive theres no short curcuits and ive emailed the guy who i bought them of asking for the wattage of the bulbs , the relay says 4x 10w so im guessing if the wattage of the bulbs are too low they will just stay on right ?

thanks , alex

Other way round; if you have an electro-mechanical flasher, then it's pulse timing is 'tuned' depending on the load on the circuit.

Higher wattage; slower flash (Bulb blow blinky-kators, blink fash fast)

So; do you have an electro-mech flasher timed for low watt LED's? Or do you have ballast resistors loading up an electro-mech timed for Tungstens?... ie near double normal wattage!

In which case also check fuses & check you haven't burned out the flasher!

Indies are normally 21W ish, plus the tell tale, maybe 5w, so about 50W on each circuit, perhaps 90W if you have hazards on same flasher. Drawing about 4-5A if indy only, 7.5w if hazards

i have an elector mech flasher for normal bulb indis

tryed the original 10w one on the bulbs , no flashing got a 21w from the shops (these are mini bulb indicators) still no flashing

relays work fine i think you can hear them clicking over

there are no hazards and the only fuse on the bike is fine

these are really doing my head in , if anyone knows where to get some standard 10w inidcators , i would be very happy unfortunatly i cant just change the bulbs on these ones because there cheap crap
