Just done a camchain on a ZZR im making into a trackbike.
I would say if its only like it when cold you have a good 10-15k left..
This is the chain i took out after 140,000 miles on left, new on right. You get stiff links over time, which (can) make it jump the teeth on the cam chain gear. But i would say you will be fine for a bit.
Expensive job though.. Engine out, split cases..

unless you need to get in the engne for something else why split the cases ?????
i'v done loads of c/chains with the engine still fitted by just cutting the old chain, feeding the new one in fixed to the old and refttng the new one using a rivet link
surely im not alone on this one |
