Recently I put my old Kwak GPz550 in the classifieds, free to a good home - it's definitely a project but not a complete nail!

Anyway - Beechbone on here was first to respond and say he'd have it and he arranged to collect today. I was expecting him to turn up in a van... not a small blue Vauxhall Corsa!

So the bike started out looking like this;

Not much change here - just the exhaust removed to allow access to the sump plug;

And placed in the boot;

Front wheel off;

Fork legs off and back wheel off after the application of a proper man's hammer!;

Seat and rear plastics off;

Growing pile of bits;

Tank off - looking a bit sorry for itself now!

Half way in;

All the way in;

Thank god for sun roofs!

https://www.shortyweb.webspace.virginmedia.com/kwakka/IMG_0063.jpg

Bit of a squeeze for Thomas;

https://www.shortyweb.webspace.virginmedia.com/kwakka/IMG_0064.jpg

And ready for the off!

Credit to you guys, didn't think it would happen, and at least half the work is already done for fixing her up again. Hope you managed to get it out again! Gave me a laugh anyway!

Hopefully they'll keep a record of the restoration of the wee auld beastie

Nice looking bike to have given away!

I've had a Jawa 350 and my current GN400 in the back of a Morris Minor (not at the same time obviously). Took all seats out bar the driver's, dismantled the bike and jammed it all in. Not easy, given that the car's a saloon, not a hatchback.

Much success! Was certainly worth the effort. Thanks for the help...we may have underestimated how much work it would be lol. Getting it out wasn't too bad and the car made it through undamaged somehow...

edit: I will ensure that it stays in a good home. I'll adopt it when Thomas (ttr) is done with it! Would have it now if I had the space Sad
