zx10r stumbles below 3k when hot

2005 model, love her,especially since my previous love my zxr750 has been written off.

Anyway, when it gets hot it really starts to stumble and pop a bit below 3k, makes riding through town a pig, from cold its fine. Sounds like its too rich? But its all stock including exhaust and has 13k.

Its geared too tall which doesnt help but any ideas??

the only thing I can think of (and it's a bit clutching at straws) is that when she's hot and on a low fuelling maybe the fuel is partially vaporising in the delivery channel so you get snatchy fuelling as a result, the only other things that come to mind are if the injectors are a little dirty with age (unlikely but possible) or maybe the low fuelling/hot engine scenario causes the injectors to trigger erratically, or if there is a power commander fitted which alters the fuelling enough to cause problems under those particular conditions (again - unlikely though). Probably no help at all but it's all I can think of!!

Afterthought - it might also be possible that one or more of the sensors is knacked or out of range, ie exhaust temp, airflow, coolant temp etc. also, as it runs a pressurised fuel system that could cause problems if the pressure switch is slightly out and it's running slightly high or low fuel pressures.
