I've an 04 GSF600, anyone know if it's the washers in the carbs to restrict this model - someone was telling me these were only used up until 2003.

Thanks

No you dont.

Fit the restrictors and ride.

You can use the ones in the carb no worries, you can use it all the way up to the 650cc models.

Kick start engineering do restrictor plates for a number of bikes, including your Bandit and my Hornet.

All you do is remove the carbs, smear silicone sealant on both sides of the plate (not near the hole), place each plate with the tip of the triangle facing up into the inlet ports and off you go.

Comes with a certificate which needs to be signed by a mechanic, but to be honest I would not bother.

As what Paddy said: Slap in whatever restriction you end up with and then ride.

No legalities revolve around the certificates at all.

Only your insurance company might ask for "proof" of restriction but if I remember rightly; Paddy you sent a MSpaint picture that said "My bike is restricted" and they accepted it.

I wouldn't be putting silicone sealant in the intake tract.

Funnily enough I thought the same, the instructions say you should, unless you only put a small smear where the plates rest against the intake but not past the part where is shows into the engine?

You can just push them in... They won't fall in.

The inlet gets narrower on the Bandit. Probably the same for other bikes.

Thanks for clearing that up - do they go between the carbs and the engine house?

Sounds like it's a reasonably easy DIY Job?

A little.

If it would bother you, don't restrict it.
