Yup, eBike. Or at least when I last took a policy (last March). Read the T&C's.
I've changed license types, put bikes on, taken them off, swapped them over, and never paid a penny in admin fees. HN125-8 to GPZ500S was a £0 swap, done online in seconds.
This link should get you £40 off.
Be aware that if you claim or find that you have to call them, it'll be a different story. They want everything done online, which is fine with me - I actually prefer that. They also want to see a copy of your license - emailing them a scan or decent picture is fine. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Cheers for that, but the premium is 3x as high, a shame
Besides which, i'm not quite sure how to answer the 'when did you get your full license' question as i took the A2 test - it's much easier over the phone ("i passed my test on date X, how you record that on your computer system is up to you!"). ____________________ -- Ingah |

A2 is a full licence. As is A1 (the 125 licence). HTH ____________________ Riding: BMW R1150RT `02 bought mildly crashed

Surprising that they don't give you an option to tell them that you are still in your restriction period, but from what I can tell, as soon as you tell them it has 33bhp restrictor fitted they charge hundreds more!
Guess that's one of their ways to tell.
Don't see how making a bike slower makes it more dangerous!
Guessing it all comes down to stats though eh? More people crash when they have the 33bhp restrictor (as they must be new to biking they say) ohhh errrr. ____________________ Malaguti F12 Phantom-Dead, Suzuki AY50- Dead, NRG power DD LQ, CBR125.
*33 BHP restriction up on 10/12/14* Current bikes/car: SV 650 S/ MKIV GOLF

Problem being, i did my A2 test 5 years ago, so i'm not restricted. As far as i'm concerned, i've had my full license 5 years. Some insurers are trying to pretend i've only had it for 3 years. |
Ok, the insurance ombudsman disagrees with me...such bullshit though.

So I got my bike license back in 1977 (yes I'm a dinosaur) but I only got my car license in 2007. So when they say for my car insurance, how long have you had a full license (note they don't ask for full CAR license, just full license), does saying 35 years count as fraud ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |
