I just removed mine. I found if my bike was sat un-used for 3 or 4 days then it drained the battery. I suppose a trickle charger would solve that problem.

Appart from that it worked fine, it replied with a google maps location text in reply to me texting it for its location no problems.

The instructions weren't the clearest to be honest. I'm waiting for a self powered replacement, something like a cheep smartphone.

I fitted the same one and it has not drained my bikes battery over a 2 week period of the bike being sat

How hard would it be to wire it to a separate 12v battery pack?

Yes it would be easy enough to connect it to its own power source, it operates from something like 7-30v so there plenty of scope there

This is the actual one I bought. It's only weak point being the lack of its own power source. Other than that it worked ok. It basically responds to a text the user sends to it ,replying to the users phone with a google map link showing its location. It was acurate, even from my works under ground car park, though sometimes I had to re-send the text more than once to get a response from it.

The 2nd tracking option which requires the user to log onto www.track188.com allowing them to see live tracking. Sadly I could never get it to work, it always showed my bikes location as downtown Hong Kong.

I don't doubt for a minute that the other ones I see for sale on ebay are clones in slightly varying packaging so the £10 one will be very similar to the £30 one.

I figured at that price I'd take the risk and ordered the one in OP's post. Will post again once I've tried it out.

Did anyone get any luck with this?

I ordered one - it's arrived but the fucking useless 'Chinglish' manual doesn't actually explain very much.

There are three wires, red, black and white. According to the manual, you only need to connect the red and black (power and ground) but it doesn't work. Don't get any response from the messages, the delivery reports indicate that they're not being received, and if I call the SIM then it goes straight to voicemail.

Anyone on here got one that actually works so that I can verify mine?

The seller is being useless - just keeps sending me links to the manual - it might as well still be in Chinese for all the use it is!

Yeah - I've given the seller the option of refund or replace - but told them that I'll open a PayPal dispute in two days if I don't hear anything other than "please read this manual here"....

Did anyone get theirs to work? Mine's arrived but I won't bother fitting it if we've all been ripped off.

Lolwutf? "1. Usually battery car is 48V, and it can reach to 80V in high speed running process. In this way, the device is easy to be burn off. So it should connect one to two batteries for safe use. Because each battery is 12V, two batteries series will be 24V(equipment normal working voltage is 9-48V)."

Ummm... OK.

Maybe the seller only speaks Chinglish? Have you tried replying with "Used only number 1 special official fitter to comply best with instruction. Is not burn and inverse by not proper install but function not."
