Yes it would be easy enough to connect it to its own power source, it operates from something like 7-30v so there plenty of scope there
This is the actual one I bought. It's only weak point being the lack of its own power source. Other than that it worked ok. It basically responds to a text the user sends to it ,replying to the users phone with a google map link showing its location. It was acurate, even from my works under ground car park, though sometimes I had to re-send the text more than once to get a response from it.
The 2nd tracking option which requires the user to log onto www.track188.com allowing them to see live tracking. Sadly I could never get it to work, it always showed my bikes location as downtown Hong Kong.
I don't doubt for a minute that the other ones I see for sale on ebay are clones in slightly varying packaging so the £10 one will be very similar to the £30 one. |

Lolwutf? "1. Usually battery car is 48V, and it can reach to 80V in high speed running process. In this way, the device is easy to be burn off. So it should connect one to two batteries for safe use. Because each battery is 12V, two batteries series will be 24V(equipment normal working voltage is 9-48V)."
Ummm... OK.
Maybe the seller only speaks Chinglish? Have you tried replying with "Used only number 1 special official fitter to comply best with instruction. Is not burn and inverse by not proper install but function not." ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
