my neighbor has a bandit 250cc he is after selling or swapping, thing is it has no tax or test, the bike is a runner and in fairly good nick has yoshi zorst etc

so heres the question..... he says he wants £650 ovno for it it is by no means mint but it is complete and a good runner and no doubt go through a test easily, we all know if he brakes it he will get ££££ but with no mot an tax would it be worth the money....

he said he would swap for a smaller bike (he is not licensed for big bikes) so if any one is interested shout me i will let him know, also i will get some pics up if any interest also

i personally think he is overpricing it, but

it is a 250 four cylinder, specs are prety good iirc

Quote:
Bandit 250 and 400

Launched in 1989, the GSF250 and GSF400 had a liquid-cooled inline-four engine, mounted on a trellis steel frame. The engines were based on those of the GSX-R250 and GSX-R400. The Bandit 250 had about 45 bhp (34 kW), the 400 cc version about 59 bhp (44 kW) (reduced to 53 from 1992). Both models had disc brakes, single and double at the front respectively. Both versions were later available with a top fairing (carrying the name "Limited" on the model name), and later "V" variations had an optional variable inlet timing.

Dont see many of them on the road, but does not mean its worth 650 without tax and test just opinions atm,

i have advised him to put an mot on it then he should get it but untill then i dont think he will get it as a whole ????

subframes twisted Laughing

Bikes ok but overpriced, go in with a figure and stick to it or go lower, point out all the bad bits on the bike and stress the T&T you can't just ride it argument. Tell him you've seen a couple of other bikes with T&T and lever him down £350-450 ballpark..

I agree with this the only thing on his side is that it's rare as rocking horse shit, after a little search I found an old ad this.

700 quid newer and t&t, his is never worth 650 !
