Hi guys, trying to get the bandit on the road and I just can't unseize the front wheel. The brakes have been overhauled with new pads, new HEL lines, and fluid.

I took it for a quick spin and it rode okay but if you put it on a stand and try and move the wheel by hand, it's super stiff. And i can't ride around trying to free it off because it needs an MOT.

Ripped apart the calipers and popped the pistons out halfway, and cleaned them up with a toothbrush, yet they still stick??

Any ideas why?/
Thumbs Up

How easily did the pistons move?

It could be corrosion behind the seals.

Hi

They are twin piston sliding calipers on the 600. My bet would be that they are not sliding on the pins.

If so whip the calipers off and get them off the pins on the carriers. Clean them up and lube them and reassemble

All the best

Keith

Not on sliding pins, normal LMP will suffice.

OP: drop the calipers off and check the wheel again, in case the bearings have seized.
