because the beam pattern is shit and is dazzling people.

Surely if colour had anything to do with it then riding around on high beam with stock lighting should be no problem.

It does not dazzle anyone thats the problem. They must have dodgy lights which malfunction creating the flash.

HID lights in a housing with a halogen reflector = fail.

It seems odd that after you fitted a dodgy hid conversion kit, peoples headlight switches started malfunctioning.

Youre blinding people. 60% is a hell of a lot. Get them fitted suitably or take them out mate itll cause an accident sooner or later most likely someone hitting you whilst being dazzled. Get xenon bulbs if you want a brighter/white look.

HID lights were an option on my car when I bought it,

I asked if it was possible to fit them later, the answer was no.

The reason is, the chassis needs altering for a different suspension set up (not entirely convinced here) because the light housing needs to self level in response to the car pitching under acceleration or just general being bumped around by the crap roads we have.

Without this, you're just making it look like you're riding round on full beam.

Personally, HID's should be banned, fed up of being blinded by badly fitted ones and when being tailgated by HID fitted cars (both on the bike and in the car) I can't see a thing due to the shadow they cast.

I had an Astra estate, P Reg, it had appalling lights. So I thought I'd try HID's. They are reflector headlights, they lasted 2 hours before I removed them. When I realised how much they dazzled everyone. The light is no longer focused, it was dangerous.

My Signum, has Projector headlights, they work perfectly, but I took them out for my MOT test, replaced with Night Breaker road legal bulbs. These are much better, legal and safer for other road users. Put a nightbreaker bulb in (or two depending on bike).

EDIT: These (obviously get correct fitment)

I don't think HIDs are dangerous at all if used correctly.
I have noticed an immediate difference in cars noticing me, going from my previous bike which had them fitted to my current bike which doesn't. Both have projectors as standard.
If set up correctly, I believe they can be a life saver. Anything that makes you more visible to other road users has got to be a good thing.
That said, it would be foolhardy to continue using them in a standard reflector unit. As others have mentioned, the beam pattern ends up really messed up, which blinds other road users.

Try some Philips X-tremes if you want brighter bulbs Thumbs Up

The H4 lamp in my TZR was absolute shit, especially as it spends most of its life riding down an unlight single stretch of tarmac that barely resembles a road, which is my daily commute. At night it can be lethal as there's a lot of wildlife to avoid. It also never lasted more than a month or two thanks to vibration.

Whilst it still has the standard reflector, I bought a HID kit that has the proper shroud round the front to stop the light going upwards, and I also got a 5000K normal-white rather than a gay blue one. Dip and Hi-beam work perfectly and there is a considerable difference between the two.

The beam pattern isn't too dissimilar than a halogen and passed the MOT with no problems.

So it can be done, you just have to use a bit of savvy, and not use the cheap shit kits.

Either remove them or angle them downwards further so they are not in people's eyes.

I've had 6K HID system on my Hornet for about 2 years now and haven't been flashed once for it... passes my MOTs with it too.

My HID lights are not so bright that they turn light blue. I personally think my lights can't dazzle incoming motorist. So why flash?

Because they think you're awesome.

As I have said in other threads started by you, your opinion and stories are completely irrelevant due to you riding a YZF 125.

Lower your headlight aim mate. I fitted a HID without a high beam, blinded everyone, then I bought one with a dipped beam option, everyones happy.

OP, I must admit this is a crazy-dumb post. I don't even know what you're trying to achieve by discussing it with us.

"I have bright lights, why are drivers flashing me to tell me my lights are too bright. I have bright lights. My lights aren't that bright! Wait Wha-? Thinking"
