H all,

Just a quick question. My little bro has got his hands on a dirt bike of some description. It is a rieju engine from the looks of things, and both the frame number and engine numbers are intact. It looks to have been 'road legal' at some point due to indicators and stuff. No v5, but he has the key. No number plate.

Any ideas how I can check if it is nicked or not, without dropping him in the shit? It looks like a bit of a nail, but should be able to run again with minimal effort.

Any advice would be great Thumbs Up

Thanks guys,

Lee

There's a bit of info here that may help : https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=71731
Although the fee for a replacement V5 has increased since that thread...

Also, see this thread, it may make things easier : https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=2751222

Tell him to check it out with the police himself, if he does and It's stolen then he's a crime victim, if he doesn't contact the police and ends up getting caught with a stolen bike he's looking at being charged with handling stolen goods.

Ok, so having looked at said 'bike' I can confirm that there is no chance this thing will be going back on the road lol

Oh, and its a zongshen, and there is more rust than metal, hence it being given to him for nowt. Getting cut up and weighed in Thumbs Up
