35kW. There are several variants of "horsepower", and little point in trying to be too precise about it.
The significant thing is that the bike can't have been restricted down from one that claimed more than 70kW (urgh, about 93.872 mechanical brake horsepower ).
Sadly, that rules out bikes like the Hornet and Fazer which claimed just a little over. And no, not the GSX-R600 either, despite what MCN say.
If a bike is not on the DSA list of bikes approved for restricting down and using to sit an A2 test, then it might become an issue.
Or it might not. Plenty of people ride bikes where the restrictors have "fallen out" and get away with it. Having a convincing looking bit of paper saying "Is 35kW honest" will see you right in most situations. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
