i just bought my bike 2 weeks ago and last week i went to go ride, it takes about two trys it starts, it ran for about 40 seconds and bougs out and then i tryed to start it it dont start, so i replace the sparkplugs yesterday it takes 2 tryes and it runs. i let it run for about an hour or to go and try to start it and it backfires and then now dont even want to turn over ---please help----

Fuel issue? Sounds like it would probably benefit from a good carb service. have you tried riding it, maybe a good spanking will help?

You left it idling for an hour? Plugs are probably fouled!

no i havent tryed to ride it, it was snowing and tooo cold lol

(clutchy) yea i left it running for an hour and i had fuel stabilizer in the gas also, so i have to change the plugs again?

Well I'd try and clean them at least.

It is not good to leave a bike run for an hour while not moving.
It might have over heated.

It has a fan over the rad which will draw air through the rad if the bikes not moving to stop the engine from overheating however if that fan works is anyone's guess.
If the fan didn't work I would expect the bike to overheat and eventually blow off a coolant pipe or something...

As he says the bike backfired and now wont even turn over is somewhat worrying.

Get the spark plugs out and give them a clean.
Whilst the plugs are out, put the bike in gear and push it along to make the the engine turns over okay.
Get a new battery and try turn it over with the starter motor.

This will rule out catastrophic engine failure (in case that backfire was a con rod letting go) and confirm if the starter is still working.


Get back to us.
If everything checks out to this point then maybe check out the carbs.
They may just need draining or a strip down and clean.
