Rust!

Would rust like on the exhaust below put you off buying a bike or could it come off easily enough? Obviously would try and avoid it but if the price is right!? Cant really see it elsewhere so would have to view it.. anywhere to look out for?

Looks like its on the side-plate on the front fender too Probably just shitty plating. Wouldn't be too concerned if its just surface rust in those areas and not all over the bike, if its a reasonable price.

Its up for a monkey so more than reasonable but makes me wonder of theres anything else wrong. Is surface rust easy to remove ?

If you are really bothered about aesthetics, I don't think they are expensive to replace. Just clean it up. It'll be fine, especially at that money. MOT&TAX?

Wouldn't bother me, 30 minutes with a wire brush on a drill and some autosol, or don't bother. If the exhaust is rotting, it'll be from the inside out, and you can't see that or determine it from the exterior condition.

I used a thing called Ajax powder on rust on my bike and it worked wonders. Just get a cloth, get it wet and apply the tiniest bit of powder onto the cloth... wipe away the rust and boom.
