Yoooo

So when I push the bike in and out of the garage I can hear a ssshh ssshh ssshh noise. Or maybe shhhh shhhh shhhh. I'm gonna assume it's a sticky caliper, can anyone confirm? And if it is, how much will it cost to put right? Still on standard callipers.

Cheers ta

Could be a warp in the disk?

Dunno. One disc has a groove in it.

Could be a warp in your disc or it could be a sticky piston, those tokicos are renowned for being crap tbh.

whip em off and give em a clean like what is in that youtube link above. you have to keep on top of these calipers to keep them working well, so they should be on your maintenance list

Could be nothing, disc brake pads often drag against the disc after the pistons have retracted, then you get a bit of overnight light rusting on the discs and then a noise, get that front wheel off the ground and spin it , see if the brake is causing drag.

+1 to this. Make sure you have a problem before you start. Wheel in the air and spin it, if it spins less than once then i'd take action.

Have a look and work out what it is.

If it's caliper related (not disc) and it'll cost ANYTHING to fix it, throw them on ebay spares / repair and buy some Honda Nissin calipers. They're a huge upgrade and go straight on if you use the conversion bolts available on eBay.
