Just picked it up today, 6500 miles on the clock, the guy I bought it from was the only owner from new. Well looked after.
Can't ride it until the summer when I go for my practical tests but at least I can look at it until then lol
Had a shot on it though and feels awesome much better than my wee cbr125!!

I'm not going to insure it just yet, tax expires at the end of march so I will SORN it and then I'll tax it and insure when I pass my licence

That's fine, but be aware that the moment that it's not insured (for 3rd party liability) it should be SORNed. You can do it online as soon as you receive the new V5C in your name (and sadly not before then, since you don't know that you've been registered as the new keeper).

In practice we seem to have about a month's grace, but I'd do it ASAP just to avoid any hassle from the DVLA.

I got myself one of them about a month ago, an personally I love it.
Think its a great little get around, and has a good bit of punch to it aswell.
Be happy its got a new exhaust on it though, as the stock one is bloody massive.

I wanted to change the bike up a bit and make it a little more my own, and one of the things I did was change the seat to one off a 1250 bandit, as long as its from a 2007 onwards model its a straight swap.

Feels a little lower than the stock seat, but changes the look a fair bit.
