So am I doing something wrong.pressure was at a constant 32 psi as per manual.or are they just shit.never mind got a bt45 on order . Sad

38psi could be considered high, but it depends what you had it on.

Tire is a conti go with now 1mm of tread and a little bit squared off..Bike is a 98 600 divvy .used for everything from commuting to weekend trips..

A Divvy barely has the power to remove the bobbles off a tyre, how did you wear one out?

Could be our lovely welsh road surface? The wear indicators are now gone but still have 2mm - 4mm down the tread.so I take it this tire is now illegal due the loss of the wear indicators.confused I am now.

I was less than impressed

Forget manual when changing brands.....

You should have been at 2.8 bar or 40 PSI.

Low pressure will kill a tyre.....

It is a cheap and fairly soft tyre. Wouldnt expect more than 5k on a ER5, so less on an XJ really.

I used to get about 6k on a CBR125.

BT45 is 500cc max (recommended)

BT 45 is the tyre of choice of Divvy riders for good life and great grip. Got 10k out a set I had on mine.

The Divvy is only 9Kg heavier than a CB500, and I don't think the tyre cares how many cylinders you have.

So the the bt45 comes in at £103 fitted .is that a ok price ? Don't think a divvy has much more power than a cb500 any how and was recommended by my yammie dealer so should be good.. Very Happy

I'm surprised the BT45 is still the tyre of choice for many. Others have been upgraded several times since that came out - no upgrade/improved replacement for the BT?

I prefer the Michelin Pilot Activ over the BT45 on my divvy, rubber is a more modern design and less prone to the usual bt45 squaring it gets pretty quickly..

Had around 6k on the conti go i had on the back of a GPZ5. Pretty much got hammered everywhere with no strip and melted balls of rubber on the edges. Laughing

I would ignore the bike manual tyre pressure and find out what the tyre company recommends.
