Honda Lead throttle cable snapped

Throttle cable snapped in my Honda lead SCV 100 and I'm wondering how difficult is it to replace it by myself.
I've already ordered a replacement (10£) and been quoted 60-80£ for a mechanic to come over and replace it.

I've tried to find instructions online though only found this:

Is it easy enough to replace it myself and is there anything that could go wrong?
Under which panel is the carburettor located in honda lead? (i've did a quick search online with no luck, though will try again)

Any help will be much appreciated!

imagine its the same as the bikes I've changed the throttle cable on in that just follow where the cable goes then put the new one in the same place.

The cable obviously disappear into the tube, which panel should i open to find the other end? Is it easy enough job for someone doing it for the first time?

Would be very easy to do. Don't know where your carb is, take off all the panels if need be, there's not a lot of them and only takes 2 minutes

Run the new cable alongside the old, connect it and then remove the old one. That way you know you've got the correct route. Thumbs Up

My advice would be to get a workshop manual....if there is one? And while I generally encourage people to work on their own bikes, you have to be a bit careful when it comes to things like brakes, wheels and throttle control.

Thanks for the helpful advises. I'm gonna get that manual, might also come of use in future.
