I'll just put this link:

https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/thursday-22nd-may/product-detail/ps/p/dry-duffle-bag/

That's for a dry bag, at the cost of a tenner I think I'll get one. Planning a trip to Europe this summer so might be nice to make sure one bag is deffo dry.

There's loadsa camping gear on too.

Lidl are doing their own special too for camping gear.

Just a heads up

Those duffel bags are nice quality, made for a thick waterproof pvc thingy that its pretty tough, used one i got a few years back in blue a fair few times.

Only thing it really lacks is anchor points on the bag..

But mine has a grab handle on the side which i can pass bungie cords through

Bought pretty much like this, (the knife, fork, spoon, etc .camping cutlery tool) many years ago, and way before aldi\lidl sold them here.

That and a plastic spork (just for luxury but don't need) is all that I carry now.

Might buy the Aldi one just in case I one day lose mine

A tiny does it all tool, and I would not be without it.

Yes, we prefer video taken from a cam strapped on your helmet, we will judge size of your helmet from size of strap, karma will cum for big strap.

Just bought a dry bag, stool, inflating mattress and inflating pillow. I can see some comfy nights in a tent coming on!

Can one use a camping bed inside a tent? Seems like I could fit it inside my tent bag and do away with the groundmat/blowup bed.

Got someone to pick me up the drypack and camping tool/knife/fork bits. Will be getting them on saturday hopefully.

Someone else I know got the drypack and it looks as decent as the double price kayak packs i've got [and this one has a bonus carry strap], but only a bath-dunk test will proove if its wateproof Razz

Bit of cardboard under the feet to be sure. Bit being a few inches off the ground will mean you're a lot warmer than on an inflatable

I picked up one of the self inflating mattresses. Pretty comfortable, beats the 2 rolls mats I have been using.

I do actually have a set like that, but never really seen the point - it doesn't take up any less space than 'normal' cutlery and is more hassle generally.

If I'm going lightweight, a folding metal spork and my swiss army knife (the latter which I tend to have on me anyway for it's general useful ness) does the job better.

Got my bits today. Dry packs decent, material is very heavy duty plastic though, more like something for sea kayaking than a bike/camping pack - does the job though. Carry straps a little redundant as the material makes it hang funny compared to lighter canvas material ones.

Got the camping tool too - dropped on floor and broke one of bits that clips two pieces together within 2 minutes Laughing but otherwise its not bad. Some of bits are very stiff to open though.

I've used a 'proper' dry sack for attaching sleeping bag etc to the outside of the bike - something I DEFINITELY want to stay dry, even when being hit by water drops at 100mph (on the Autobahn, in this case I did get some rain, as it goes Smile.)

Took the bike to Wales and used the dry bag from Aldi as a large tail bag and used a ratchet strap to secure to back seat on hornet grab handle.

Think eventually secured to a large top box on rear seat will give plenty of storage, and is 100% waterproof as everything wasn't soaked but the stuff in the pannier were after 120 miles. Wont be using panniers again and going to got for tank bag, large top box and one of these bags on bag seat. Also is nice low back support.

I usually pack stuff in rubble sacks, put the sacks in a bag, and strap the bag to the back seat. I use a top box (Givi Maxia E55, so pretty big) for things like rain gear, visor cleaning stuff, spare bulbs, scottoiler refill etc., storing my helmet in when getting lunch, and groceries when my gear is not on the bike.

Rubble sacks are cheap, tough and disposable. They remove your dependence on the outermost layer being waterproof, and they compartmentalize your storage.

Top-boxes are independently useful for easy-access to lightweight stuff, or heavier stuff over short distances and lower speeds. I prefer having both the top-box and bag strapped on to side panniers.

Anyone know if Aldi still have or are likely to have any drybags left?

Yeah they should do. Aldi tend to keep their products that are offer around whereas Lidl always seem desperate for the floor space.

The dry bags are really good. Anyone who's had leakage problem can't be using it right. It's impossible for water to penetrate the material.

Cheers for the heads up

Fancy making a guess as to the internal diameter?? /measuring it?

Website says width 47cm so I'm gonna guess around 30cm?
