Shouldn't be such a peasant to worry about such a trivial amount of £££

Does anyone know if you have a car in tax band B or C (£20/£30 tax a year) would you be given a refund (of course it would be a tiny amount) for remaining months? |
Of course, why wouldn't it be refundable?
Whether it's worth the time, effort and a stamp depends on how anal the applicant is. I presume many won't be bothered and leave the money with the government.
Either way, these new rules are purely to make money for the government. Not only do we lose out taking tax mid month, we also lose out having to cash it back mid month rather than transferring it to the new owner. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

I think it tops out at around £260 for pre March 2001 cars. With a 4.4 and a 3.0 older car I'd hate to think of modern tax costs!
If I could be arsed, the 4.4 is also LPG so could be a bit cheaper if I applied to the DVLA. Never bothered as it's inly about £20 or so. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.
