I took the clutch side casing of and replaced the clutch put it all back together and now it won't start. It will now roll in any gear without using the clutch?

Try putting it back to the way it was before you started

I assume it was working fine before hand.

Sufficient amount of fuel
Battery is in working order
Sufficient engine oil
Electrics on the bike work (lights, indicators, rear brake light) etc?

Slight confused.. do you mean when you roll the bike forward it will engage in any gear on it's own?

YOU'RE confused? You should stop giving technical advice, you're making yourself look stupid. Might as well tell someone to change the chain on their bath plug because the tap keeps dripping.

Keep the jokes coming.

My attempt to clear up the issue and get as much information as possible is more help the OP at this point than your response, if the OP chooses to answer my questions or not is up to them.

Thumbs Up

It wasn't a joke, you really should stop giving technical advice.

Let's agree that this is getting kind of boring now. Thumbs Up

Back to the CG, what do you mean it will roll in any gear? Like, you put it in gear and push the bike with no problem? Did you put new springs in there, or any springs at all?

I agree too, get that leaky tap fixed pronto, taps shouldn't be able to roll in all gears. Folded arms

Praise Rhyno for trying to steer BCF away from stupidity, fools errand bro. Razz

Chances are that as the old clutch has worn it has been adjusted to compensate. When you replace the clutch you have to adjust the free-play in the release mechanism because the new plates are thicker than the old ones.

Looks like all the adjustment on the CG is in the cable. Slacken the adjuster and until the lever has a bit of free play in it. If the clutch still doesn't engage and you can still push the bike in gear, you have put the clutch together wrong.

Good call Pete, I forgot the cable. The quick test, undo the cable and then try to roll the bike in gear. No cable means the springs (if you put some in there) will push the plates together and won't let you roll the motorcycle. Thumbs Up

I've given good karma to everyone who thinks that your technical advice is shit.

As for the starting issue I'm going to assume that it's electrical and that you've got nothing happening when pushing the start button...

(...unless you mean it's turning the engine over but not firing up....)

...Have you forgotten to reaffix an earth cable fixed to the clutch cover by one of the cover bolts?

Oh, and for the record, I agree with Rhyno that it's boring that Carvel agrees with Fisty who agrees with Teme, but I agree with Carvel who agrees with Pete that technical advice on this subject is distinctly lacking, however I disagree with Pete advising the changing of a bath plug chain when the tap drips, everyone knows that you should clean the drain so that the bath won't flood Rolling Eyes

maybe you have put the clutch actuater back wrong and its permanently disengaged the clutch. disconect the clutch cable put it in gear see if it engages the gears then.
