could be me having a spacky shoulder (not diagnosed with one) but when i ride for anymore than around 30 minutes my shoulders hurt mainly on the shoulderblades, happens on sports and upright bikes, i think sports may have been a bit better than upright.
Any way to combat this?

I had a similar problem when I first started riding, so I undid the handlebars and experimented with different positions until I worked out that I needed to add 30mm risers.
I also swapped the standard screen for a taller one, and that helped to keep the wind off my chest and shoulders.
It would also help me if the foot pegs could be about 2" further forward, but there doesn't seem to be a cheap and easy way to fix this, but I have got used to it now.
The risers and screen did make a big difference though. ____________________ Honda Varadero XL125(V8)

I agree with Codge. Gripping the handlebars too tight causes your shoulder blades to ache.
Loosen up that grip ____________________ Previous Bike: Skyjet SJ27

Shoulder blades, isn't that tension? Try doing some sit ups and squats too, strengthen your core, that should help you keep your weight off your shoulders. ____________________ I want your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle.

After more than fifteen hours on the bike my arms would feel as though they had crossed over giving me the impression that my left hand was on the throttle and my right on the clutch.
No amount of checking it out , moving hands, touching levers, biting fingers etc could rid me of that horrible sensation.
Just had to push on and get the job done. Weird. |
