changed a fuse in a mates bike at the weekend as he had no brake lights or indicators Shocked

just rang me now to say its happened again.

any ideas?

he was told that the reg/rec was changed recently

I wouldn't be suspecting the RR if the fuse that protects the
flashers and brake lights ( possibly other stuff too) blows.

I'd be doing stuff like inspecting connectors, related switches, bulb sockets etc
and looking for shorts, chafed cables and owner 'improvements' first

If you are sure that all of the bulbs and the fuses are the correct rating, it wouldn't hurt to substitute the fuse with an ammeter, to see how much current is being drawn - ot to put a volt meter across the battery to check the maximum voltage.

If any accessories have been added, like heated grips or spotlights, check where they are getting power from.

cheers will do, looks pretty much standard except for a charging cable dangling out from the seat.

My 918 kept blowing the headlight fuse as a wire was arcing behind the clocks. Check for worn wires too.

Multimeter on battery, measure off, idle and 4K do it, do it now.

My RRW fried the starter solenoid when the RR went.
