 |
|
I want to increase the diameter of the grips on my bike, but without removing the original (factory heated grips). Looking for suggestions on how do make a tidy and durable job of it. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

That'll be the sort of thing. Any idea on the foam density and how durable they are? I don't want something that'll fall apart after 3 months use. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Sore hands, yes. Never suffered it on my first one which was identical except 1) the grips were ever so slightly fatter and 2) I wore thicker gloves when I bought it in March.
Extra vibration damping would also be a bonus so I'm going to try those foam covers. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

I had Grip Puppies on my BMW because the standard grips were just too thin for my giant hands, and they were already heated (normally I just stick heated grips on and they're thicker anyway). Showed no sign of wear at all, but did take a few goes to get them to stick down well with hairspray. ____________________ Honda Varadero 125cc => Suzuki Bandit 650 33bhp => 77bhp =>

Just fitted a set of Grip Puppies, for the same reason as Pete.
So far, the cramp across the base of my thumb has gone (will be doing a longer ride than my commute tomorrow, I'll report back then) but I have introduced involuntary cruise control - the extra pressure on the throttle tube has overwhelmed the throttle return spring, so the throttle doesn't close when you release your grip.
Hasn't caused me a problem so far, but worth keeping in mind. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

Quite tempted to give these a go; i've had on and off hand-pain for a couple of years now also.
Has anyone tried them with a cramp-buster out of interest? I'm guessing it might not work properly, which would make me less keen to buy them at the moment. |
