Can you kick start it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSOBg6bUGWg

When you hit the start does the starter motor turns and how much time?

Have you tried to jump start it with jump leads and someone's car battery? Note keep the car engine off if you try just connect the leads.

If the starter spins fine try starting fluid to check is the bike starting at all by spraying some starting fluid in the air intake like in this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaeCFtzW9Xg

Buy starting fluid here:
https://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oils-fluids/fuel-oil-additives/bradex-easy-start-300ml

If the bike starts with starting fluid, but does not starts otherwise you have fuel supply issue.

You may have old fuel that is no good there. Means you may need to empty the tank, take off the carb and clean it with carb cleaner.

Than add new fresh fuel and it will start.

Or clogged fuel supply lines. Or fuel vacuum valve issue.

Just let us know does it start with starting fluid?

I dont have starting fluid but i sprayed a bit of wd40 in there as someone told me that would start it it still didnt start. The starter motor works fine everything turns inside. The fuel and oil are new and everything has been cleaned. The engine has been rebuilt. Is it possible if my stator was damaged it could cause the bike to not start

i'm no expert (in anything)

But the stator/alternator is only useful because it takes the spinning engine, some magnets and some wire and makes it into electricity that it can pass back to the battery to charge it up. (I think that's pretty much how it works... might be some magic involved too)

As such - i don't know a faulty stator - or even no stator would stop your engine from running...

You need fuel, air and a spark. All at the right time.
If one of them's missing - you won't get a running bike. Don't stress about the stator until it's running and then the battery goes flat.

Check fuel is getting to carb. check carb. check spark. Then worry about timing... that's where i'd be looking

Fit the correct powerband. Your machine has obviously been fitted with a red one. You need a pink headed one. Turn it on and run it up and down gently for a few minutes. Increase your revs gradually, and you will come to a great result.

So after blaming the stator for not producing a spark, you're removing the fly wheel?

In that case, I'm out of ideas as to what it could be Confused

Searches thread for "meter".

Not found.

Keep guessing, OP. If you throw another few hundred quid of random parts at it, might get lucky.

Whatever you do, do not invest £5 or ten minutes in actually diagnosing your problems. Where's the fun in that?

Stop guessing.

Spend £5 on a multimeter.

Invest 10 minutes in watching YouTube vidoes on how to use it.

You can now follow one of the many, many, many guides on Google it diagnosing motorcycle electrical problems.

Then I suggest that you do.

Voltage, continuity, resistance at all the appropriate places as per the easily Googlable guides.

Honestly, I don't know what else you expect, other than to ask if you've checked the obvious stuff like fuses, kill switch, battery, earth strap.

So the components may not be faulty... What about the connections and wires joining them together? A meter will help here
