 |
|
Hi BCF,
First post, passed my CBT a couple of weeks ago and went and bought a 125 over the weeked.
Buzzing to be part of the biker group . . . plan is to get both Mod 1 & 2 in the coming months and nice 600
Anyhow, the Honda 125 I bought has a slight issue with it, when you press the rear brake, the brake light constantly stays on.
Apprently the switch is 'sticky' - I'm very much learning the ropes here so can you help in terms of me getting it sorted?
Easy fix?
Appeciate all comments and help so thank you in advance. |

Look at the back of the brake lever, there's a spring and an adjuster. They often get full of road crud, give it w clean and a bit of lubrication. Also make sure it's attached at the other end

It's a very simple mechanical switch - cleaning it should be sufficient.
It may need adjusted though. There will be a big nut or two on it that controls the height that the switch is held at. If you adjust the nuts to move the switch down a fraction and release a little tension on the spring, the brake light should go off. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
