Hi all,
has anyone got any tips for getting handle bar grips on and off,

i'm replacing the whole bars after they got bent in a fall today, think i am going to replace them but the WD40 did the trick, cheers for that! also i need to ask there is a load of grease under the throtle and on the lever joins, can i use lithem grease to re-grease them?

Hairspray for fitting new ones
Any grease will be OK as it is neither a high speed or a high load use. I would usually use copper grease on the pivots and Moly grease on the cable nipples. Lithium is usually used for high speed aplications such as bearings but will do a good enough job. I suppose in an ideal world you would use graphite grease for metal on metal contacts as it will still work once the grease has dried out but you never see graphite grease these days. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink.
