I have done it twice, once I rode for 2minutes and noticed right away but didn't get to stop as I was following some friends and they were on bikes as well. I tried to do it up when I stopped at the traffic light but it went green and it caused me to accelerate fast causing a wheelie. The second time was yesterday, heard a weird sound and it was the D ring hitting my helmet . ____________________ Kawasaki ZZR 400 | K5 GSX-R 600 |

I'm with Keith on this one. I don't tend to forget to do it up, but I have driven off twice without a helmet. I get down the road and start wondering if there is a problem with the bike because its very noisy, then it dawns on me. ____________________ Travelling around the world...a bit at a time. Wotcha.
Hmm - the "Charlie says" bit has me wondering
I'm an old git, and can just about remember the "Charlie says" public information film. . . which can be found here :---->
CHARLIE SAYS for those who don't know what I'm on about.
I would imagine anyone who remembers that horrific piece of early ( 1973 ) British television would now be at an age where forgetting to fasten one's helmet is the least of their worries Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it. ____________________ Cheers.

I've forgot to strap the lid up a couple of times, but that was only because I was sidetracked on both occasions. First time was after my old NS conked out, but finally fired up after being left for a few mins, so i just stuck the lid back on and rushed home. Another time was going to college. Just totally forgot to strap it up, but soon noticed a few minutes after when the strap whipped me in the neck! ____________________ Aprilia RSV Mille R Edwards Replica - Aprilia RS250 - Suzuki GSXR600 Supersport Race Bike |

I dont do my Helmet up. Reason is. Because I dont Undo it
I have the strap set a bit loose, So I can pull the strap forward and pull my helmet on, Then just have a yank on the tag if its too loose. To take it off, I simple pull the red tab to loosen it, and then slide it off (Without actually undoing the strap)
Easier and saves loads of time!

And you'll wonder why it'll not save your life if you crash. Might as well put a plastic bag on your head, it'll do about as much good.
Didn't the cat make a "naarghhowwwieahh" kind of noise. Don't remember them first time around but thank God for list shows like "50 worst public infomercials staring cats called Charlie" that pollute our TVs nowadays. Still Kate Lawler would be unemployed otherwise.

My friend forgot to do up his helmet when borrowing my bike, which he promptly crashed into a fence post at near to 100km/h.
Luckily for him he missed going head first into the post with no helmet on by 3 or 4 inches... The bike wasn't so lucky. I got some satisfaction by the fact that the fence was electric , considering how much it cost me to rebuild the front end. ____________________ Dangerous traffic offences spotted on 50-minute trip: Lost count after 100. I've never forgotten to do it up, once it is on it's kind of natural to do it up for me.
Rode off without putting it on twice. You think to yourself "Jeez, my engine seems incredibely loud, must be about to blow up". ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it.
