Had a queue of things for the GT.
I think either the kickstarter or main sprocket seal has gone, quite common on these engines. There's still some oil spraying off the chain and it's not letting up so probably not down to an over-oiled chain. Anyhoo, getting to the seals means taking the right hand cover off so may as well do an oil change. And if the cover's off may as well investigate the "anti-vibration plate" Hitchcocks sell. 50/50 whether it's just snake oil from the various opinions in various forums. Worth a go and an easy job with the right tools.
One seal is behind the main sprocket. For some reason I made the mistake of glancing at a quick Google search (possibly the AI) saying a 36mm socket was needed. Wrong! 46mm, which I don't have Now to drum my fingers while I wait for one ordered from eBay. ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

Went to Weymouth for a Dorset Apple Cake flavoured Icecream.
Then went onto West Bay (Bridport) for a cup of Tea along the coast road. Lovely ride and No Bloody Camper Vans blocking the road.
Quick 100 miles and that OLD suspension is definately testing this OLD body.
Changed the Fork Seals recently. Fronts not too bad. Think I'll have to save up and get the Monoshock sorted.

Definitely was mate
Felt a bit of a Twat sat there with all the gear on amongst a lot of Grockles in swimming costumes.
Makes a change from riding 50 miles for a bag of chips though
