If you do come to a stop in 1st and despirately need to get into neutral without turning the ignition on and off, blip the throttle and it will go in sometimes  |

NSR can be a bit of a bitch sometimes....

just though i would come back to this old post and say i fixed this problem and it took my girfriends dad approx 5 seconds lol i had to much clutch free play, he adjusted it from the handbars and it goes into neutral whenever and wherever (shakira ) any way it has also improved my acceleration and shockingly top speed it seems to get further through the gears before red lining! hope it helps |

Yep, every time I found my NSR hard to click it into neutral while at a standstill I'd tighten up the clutch cable. Works every time Turn the engine off though and it's no problem anyway. But then I only ever used neutral when I was getting off the bike so it didn't matter.
I can't understand how it's improved top speed though, because if you have too much free play, the clutch engages earlier in the lever movement. ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/
