Depending on the model, AGV can be as expensive as Arai. I wore an AGV lid in a crash once, and I didn't die, so it can't be that bad.
Hein Gericke (HG) are a german company, I've got a set of HG leathers, and I've had them for two years now, and they're still in pretty good nick. Been used for over 25k miles. Also had 3 offs in them, and like I say, still pretty good nick.
HTH at least a little bit. ____________________ TheShaggyDA: I've got 3 or 4 pairs that predate my wife, so at least 11.5 years old. |

I would say that in terms of crash protection there's probably not *that* much between AGV and Arai, but as I've pointed out here, the fit of the individual model of helmet is more important than the manufacturer - you need to try a few on! ____________________ Monster m600

I've crashed twice in my Gericke leathers (well the trousers are Gericke) with no damage to me or anything significant to them. I like. |

I have an AGV X-R2
in my oppinion its a bit shit,
1 wind noise is bad,
2 the visors are ill fitting causing rain to get in even when the visor is shut
3 the two above things for the cost,, doesnt do it for me
4 you have to get a small fog city and that buggers up your vision
the good points
1 its pretty comfy
2 its light
3 it doesnt give you neck ache after a long trip
4 it wont get a speed wobble
Ive had Caberg J1 (flip up) and that was really crap, visor fogged up and wouldnt fit a fog city due to the silly shape of the visor,
also it weighed loads and wobbled at speed,
also an Airoh, and i really cant fault this one,, comfort, lightness price, fits a fog city (and doesnt scratch the hell out of it)
so far this would be the only helmet id recomend,
can comment on other brands though ____________________ There is no point in ranting about someone stupid because there is nothing u can do about it. There is no cure for stupid.
Someone stupid does not realise they r stupid.stupidity is indistinguishable from malice U just have to accept that some people are thick as p1gsh1t and work around them. |

Chris, if you're interested in the Airoh helmet head out to the Yamaha dealer on sheikh zayed road. My cuzin has one and he doesn't complain, also the price is real good . ____________________ Kawasaki ZZR 400 | K5 GSX-R 600 |
